The flock towards online care is growing and it's not going to end anytime soon
Vaccine? Sure. But we still need to wait for the rest of the world to get their shots, and work out true efficacies. Give it until 2023, and by that time, many of us won't be turning back.
I know, I'm a little bit of an outlier, or you might call me obsessively and irreparably future-oriented.
But maybe you are too.
You see, even before the lock downs, in 2019... I was seeing patients on Skype...
(What ever happened to poor Skype from the days of 2003? Microsoft bought it and it got too clunky. Driving home the grim message of today's blog: Evolve or die.)
To the surprise or disgust of my family medicine colleagues who simply did not dare to do something the authorities had not pre-authorized?
Leaders do not wait for such things to happen. Leaders...lead. And take some risks.
If you're reading this, and sticking with me for the long haul, you're a leader.
When the lockdown happened, guess what. Everyone wanted to know how I did it and frankly, there was no advice I could give apart from, just do it?
How to overcome your fear of going online
If you're a practitioner that can somehow go online (GP, Family Physician, Naturopath, Herbalist, Homeopath, Doula, Nutritionist, Yoga instructor...)
The list goes on. Even if you're a massage therapist, I'll have ideas for how you can share your knowledge and skills online.
Now ask yourself the questions...
π Are you passionate about your art?
π Do you want to impact more people with your skills and knowledge?
π Do you want to enjoy a work-life balance?
πAnd 10X your earnings for the amount of time spent?
If the answer is YES to any of those, then you want to shed the shackles of what's holding you back, fast.
Stick around. I can help!
You see, pivoting online is something I had to consciously do too. Saying goodbye to some part of my persona.
But I said hello and made space for a huge mission of mine:
"To change the way doctors and coaches serve in the world"
And of course, I miss seeing patients face to face, and I can if I ever want to, but so far, not yet, except for coffee or lunch :P
